In late August, Prof Mike Barnes and Hannah Deacon visited Maple Tree clients Hilltop Leaf. A a private medicinal cannabis cultivation and extraction business, Hilltop Leaf has begun the construction of a 11,000-square-metre facility in a rural location in Dumfries and Galloway.
The aim is to produce medicinal cannabis products at an “affordable” price. During their visit, Hannah and Mike met with Hamish Clegg, CEO and co-founder of Hilltop Leaf and Chairman, Neil Ewart.
It is hoped that construction will finish in the spring, and, providing the company is awarded the necessary license, production could be underway by the end of 2022.
